Dusk at Dumbleyung

Dunbleyung Laks is a salt lake about three hours south of Perth in Western Australia. It really is an apocalyptic sight to see so many dead trees silently standing in the middle of such a harsh environment.
As a side note, the act of photographing these trees was such a challenging task, due to the thousands of insects, relentlessly feeding upon me – but well worth it!
Shot taken with my Canon 1DS Mark II and 16 – 35mm Widfe Angle Lens.100 ISO at F22 at 23mm.
