Fading away by Cheree Smith

Fading away is a series depicting how depression can weigh on a person throughout their day. I undertook this series for a university assignment, but it is also a very personal topic for me, and I wanted to show the helplessness that one can feel when battling depression.

To help show the feelings of depression, I wanted to keep the photos monochromatic, and was inspired by the look of Greek statues so I spent a day covering my model in slip porcelain in order to get a monochromatic image. Cheree tells ShutYourAperture.

Keep your own photo-series archive

For a photo series of your own, keep original files, notes and finished edits together. A black Samsung T7 Shield portable SSD, 1TB model MU-PE1T0S/AM, is one storage option to compare. Check capacity and your computer connection before buying. Open the copied files and maintain another checked copy separately. A drive does not replace a complete backup plan. Compare the current retailer specifications; no hands-on test, price or stock promise is being made here.
