In this video, I explain what is white balance and I go over how you can correct it. There are many ways to correct the white balance, and this is the one that works for me. It takes a long time to develop a personal style, but once you get that signature look in your photos, you will understand what I am talking about.
I feel that white balance, just like the photograph should be felt. It should not be forced. To me, if a scene feels hot, I try to put that feeling in the photograph, if it’s cold I try to match that feeling to my photos. You get the idea. I do this by adjusting the white balance.
There are many ways of doing this, however, I like to shoot everything in auto white balance in my camera, (most of the time) then correct it manually in Lightroom. You can also do this in photoshop and Luminar.
I think this is the best way to get the best results possible. In my opinion is what is in your heart that counts not what a machine thinks is correct.
