It was such an amazing picture right in front of my eyes: wind playing with beautiful hair of Alice and turning silky skirt of the dress into a golden shapeshifting banner, her slightly changing from the sensation of surprisingly cold sand under her feet, endless space of the desert on the horizon, slowly fading sun… Nothing else was needed – it was messy and hectic perfection of the free artistic soul!

‘The Wind Dancer’
A bright ray of sun struck the lens of the camera aimed at me, throwing blinding, trembling shards of light that were distorted by the mild sand storm. All of a sudden, images from every beautiful dream I’d ever lived through began to appear in my mind – vast landscapes, moments of peace and joyful rush. Images of something simple, and yet so distant and surreal. They seemed to be so much imbued with the indelible quality of memory…
The wind, surprisingly cold as a grasp of fresh air in the morning, whistled around me and roared down the dunes. I shivered and smiled. It felt like if he would mock me gently, saying: “If you want to awaken you would need to go further than even a bird of your renown has ever ventured before.” It felt like it managed to touch my soul to make me realize that I don’t need to wander in the lands of dreams anymore…
P.S. Thanks to the wind the hawk lost the hat that the bird was supposed to wear all the time. I’m grateful for this marvellous coincidence!

Clearwater can embrace so nicely… I wanted to make this photo since one koi fish was unexpectedly friendly while dancing around me in the water of a pond it dwelled in. I’m glad that it worked so well!
Did you know that Koi Fish meaning in Japan is good fortune/luck? They are also associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose, abundance and courage. Additionally, these fishes are simply marvellous!
