It represents fragile human consciousness easily influenced and manipulated by mass media, hypocrisy of those in power who control the media, silence of consumption society that is too obsessed with consuming to notice they are being manipulated.
Black and white paints in makeup are used to emphasize the edge between good and evil humanity is balancing on. The bandages show that our society is seriously sick in their priorities.The marks on the body are similar to those made by cosmetic surgeons on the skin of their patients. This represents the vain attempts of the ruling class to cover the ugly truth.
