La Nuit by Yohan Terraza

Over the past four years, I’ve been looking for a specific exploration into the night as I explore some of my childhood memories. The night is based on my personal story and is to me the finest way to explore myself and echoes the silence. The more I understand things through it, the more I ask questions to myself to feed my own personal quest.

Chasing an unreal light that is only surrounded by your own imagination, that is what makes me moving on. All this work is about looking for something, a purpose that I can’t reach.
I photograph the Night like I’d be painting, writing a poetry or composing music, with its own breaks and strong movements among an inner contemplation.
This is a never-ending story.

Most of my photographs have been taken in France, especially on the beach of Gironde, south-west of France and in the Pyrénées (french mountain, south of France). Yohan tells ShutYourAperture.
