Between light and darkness, right and wrong, between two contradicting forces. It’s such a fascinating topic. We all learn about Yin and Yang at an early age, even if we grow up far away from Chinese culture. It is in our nature to notice and point out opposites or contrasting elements, to analyse them and search for meaning. Finding and understanding these opposites helps us accept and make sense of the world. Perhaps this is why approaches relying on opposites are so visually stimulating, engaging and memorable.

This, in short, was my inspiration for this series. I’m very grateful to my model Darya Goncharova, she did an excellent job fitting into this abstract role. Say Bobby.
