The serie “Rêves d’urbanisme” (Dreams of urbanism) details architectural elements that surround us and toward which we usualy don’t look up. It’s aiming to aesthesize what could at first glance seems raw, for some a bit disgracious, via the extraction of buildings’ pieces with a geometrical and repetitive aspect. That extraction brings out the structural patterns in architecture, making us bounce from lines to lines until we dream of them as they endlessly duplicate. Says Mathiu.
