Portraits by Angelina Angelopoulou
My name is Angelina Angelopoulou and I’m a Graphic Designer with a love for photography.
I’m an animal lover, a book eater and a great cook.
My first contact with a camera was at the age of four when my father gave me his old camera to play with. By that moment magic happened and I felt a special attraction to the machine that took pictures. At the age of ten, I raised money to buy my first film camera on which I learned how to take pictures, which lighting is ok and how to frame the subject. My only available model at the time was my younger sister, Maria who now owns dozens of albums from her childhood because of my addiction.
Inspiration can come from everything. From a field full of dry grass, to a forgotten lipstick found in a drawer. But a major need to capture a scene appears when I see a face that has something unique. I’m also a golden-ratio researcher and supporter, so I try to follow the rule in every photo-shoot.
It’s important to mention that for each of my photo-shoots I previously make a research to think of a concept. Then I find and prepare the place of the photo-shoot, and I’m also responsible to create the hair and the makeup of my models.
